Whistleblower system
To strengthen the compliance system and in accordance with the applicable legislation, a whistleblower system (“whistleblower hotline”) has been implemented at an external reporting office in addition to the option of reporting to the management or the compliance officer. This enables employees of Chemiepark Lülsdorf GmbH and third parties, such as business partners or customers, to report potential legal violations or other breaches of regulations within the company – anonymously if they wish.
The use of the whistleblower hotline is free of charge for the whistleblower and, provided that the whistleblower has not violated any laws or internal company guidelines, does not lead to any adverse consequences in relation to Chemiepark Lülsdorf GmbH.
The employees of the external reporting office are obliged to maintain confidentiality. They will treat the identity of the whistleblower and the information provided by the whistleblower confidentially vis-à-vis third parties, if so requested by the whistleblower. The reporting office, the management of the companies and the Compliance Officer undertake to investigate all information received with due diligence and to examine the underlying facts in detail.
